    Spreading Joy: TNI Habema Task Force Brings Smiles to Geliat Church Congregation in Nduga

    NDUGA - The Infantry Battalion Task Force (Satgas Yonif) Raider 503/Mayangkara, part of the HABEMA Operations Command in Papua, continues its mission to secure the RI-PNG Mobile Border while fostering closer ties with local communities. As part of this commitment, the Yonif 503/Mayangkara Task Force shared joy and blessings with the Geliat Church congregation in Kenyam District, Nduga Regency, Papua, on Wednesday (12/2/2025).

    During this special visit, the Task Force did more than just attend worship services—they strengthened community bonds by donating musical instruments such as guitars, pianicas, and tambourines for church worship, along with sports equipment like soccer balls and volleyballs to encourage healthy activities among the local youth.

    The heartfelt gesture from Lieutenant Colonel Inf Gurbasa Samosir and 25 Kesatria Mayangkara personnel was met with overwhelming joy from the congregation, especially from the Church Pastor, who expressed deep gratitude.

    "Thank you to Task Force 503 for bringing happiness to our congregation. May the Lord Jesus bless you all, " said the Church Pastor with a warm smile.

    Lieutenant Colonel Gurbasa Samosir, in response, shared his appreciation for the warm welcome and the strong spirit of togetherness.

    "As part of Task Force Yonif 503/Mayangkara, we are grateful for the ongoing cooperation with the community. May this happiness and peace continue to flourish in our hearts, " he stated.

    Major General TNI Lucky Avianto, Commander of HABEMA, praised the initiative as a symbol of TNI’s dedication to supporting the fundamental needs of Papuan communities while contributing to the region’s accelerated development.

    “This initiative by Task Force Yonif 503/Mayangkara reflects TNI’s deep commitment to building stronger, more harmonious communities in Papua. Our presence is not just about security it’s about fostering hope, unity, and progress, ” he emphasized.

    The presence of TNI in Papua is more than just a military mission it’s a mission of compassion, unity, and a shared vision for a brighter future.
